Ezytask ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our platform ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

When you use our Service, we collect the following information:

• Email address
• Username
• Password
• User data (the data you create, upload, or otherwise provide through the Service)

2. Payment Information

Payment details are securely processed and stored by our trusted third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your payment information on our servers.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

Upon cancelling your subscription:

• We will retain your login details and user-generated data until the end of your current billing cycle, after which all your user-generated data deletion will also commence. However, it may remain in our system for up to 30 days as part of our routine backup policy.
• User-generated data may remain in our system for a maximum of 30 days as part of our routine backup policy.
• Your email address is also removed from Stripe when cancellation takes effect and your data is purged.
• After the retention period of 30 days, all associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers and backups.

4. Data Storage and Location

Our servers are located in Europe. We take the security of your data seriously:

• Your data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols (e.g., HTTPS/TLS).
• However, your data is not encrypted at rest on our servers.

5. Your Data Control Options

You have control over how your data is stored and accessed within these available storage options:

• Online (Cloud) Storage Option:

  For convenience, you may choose to store your data on our servers so you can access it online from supported devices. Data is encrypted in transit, but is not encrypted at rest. This means that authorised system administrators and technical support personnel may be able to access and view stored data in plain form when required for maintenance, support, or operational purposes.

  While we implement reasonable security measures, no system can guarantee absolute protection, and there is a risk of unauthorised access in the event of a security breach.

  Daily database backups may be retained for up to 30 days. If you delete data that has been stored in the cloud, it may continue to exist in backup systems for up to 30 days before being permanently removed.

• Local Storage Option:

  You may choose to save your data to a file on your local device and use the Service without storing data on our servers.

  At this stage, downloaded files are not encrypted and are provided as plain text. The download is generated locally from the content currently displayed in the Ezytask application in your browser and is not transmitted to external servers during the download process.

  This option provides greater control over your data, but you are responsible for maintaining your own backups. If additional protection is required, you are responsible for applying your own encryption or security measures after download.

6. Data Deletion and Backups

You have the ability to delete your data from our servers at any time through your account settings. However:

• Deleted data will remain on our systems for a maximum of 30 days due to our daily routine backup policy.
• After 30 days, all deleted data and backups will be permanently removed from our systems.

7. Restoring Your Data Stored Online

We may offer a free data restoration service that allows you to restore your data to a previous state within the past 30 days, subject to availability. To request a restoration, please contact admin@ezytask.io.

8. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your account and enable access
• Communicate with you regarding your account and the Service
• Improve and develop new features for the Service

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to help operate and improve the service. Some cookies are necessary for core functionality, including keeping users signed in, maintaining authentication sessions, remembering security preferences, and helping protect accounts from unauthorized access. These cookies are required for the service to function properly.

We may also use optional cookies for analytics, performance monitoring, and improving the user experience. Where required by applicable law, you will be given the ability to manage your cookie preferences.

10. Security Measures

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. However, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our platform. Your continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
